French clip barrettes have been a staple in my life since I was young. Now that alligator clips, or salon clips as some call them, have been introduced I'm finding myself wearing them more.
The ceramic decoration was created in my Las Vegas studio. Beginning with raw clay, the focal bead was formed, dried slowly, fired in a kiln to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit, dipped in glaze, and then fired again to over 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
The French clip is 3.75" total, with 2.75" for the actual clip. This is the largest French clip barrette I've seen, and will require very thick hair. The alligator clip is 3 inches total, with 2.25 inches for the actual clip. They all weigh around 1 ounce.
All ceramic barrettes are fragile and may break if dropped. They are not intended for children.
All items are one of a kind - each one is made uniquely for this shop, and is ready to ship! Orders are shipped within one business day and items are lovingly placed in an organza bag suitable for gift giving. I guarantee all of my products, period. As with all art jewelry, it should only be worn on occasion, never during activities that may cause damage. These barrettes can handle normal water, such as rain, but should never be submerged in a bathtub or swimming pool.
