An amazing extra large ammonite fossil from Madagascar.This piece has incredible dendritic suture patterns on the shell. The beautiful caramel tones make the perfect contrast to the natural cream colored markings on the shell. This species of ammonite is a Perisphinctes, and was thriving during the JurassicPeriod approximately 160 million years ago.
